Collaboration with Modern Times | Kintsugi vases

This collection of works explores the traditional Japanese art form of Kintsugi and brings a contemporary take on the ancient repair technique. Embracing nature these pieces are textural and organic in there shape and form. Kintsugi is not only an aesthetically pleasing method of repair but carries a philosophy that embraces and accentuates an objects flaw or imperfection. Rather then discarding a piece that is broken or has imperfections by using the kintsugi technique of mending the broken pieces back together,  allows for the piece to be renewed. Giving the object a new life and the chance to continue its story.

Each Vessel has been individually handcrafted and has a unique mend.
